Jeep has announced the all-new Jeep Grand Cherokee, set to be released later this year.  The new Jeep Grand Cherokee in Tacoma will not only have improved performance and off-road capabilities, but much improved fuel-efficiency.  Jeep is also enhancing interior comfort and technology, exterior design and adding an adjustable air-ride suspension.

According to Jeep, the Grand Cherokee’s new 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine will provide 240 horsepower and have best-in-class fuel economy.  The Grand Cherokee’s fuel ratings should come in around 22 MPG in the city and 30 on the highway.  Another engine will also be available with more power, higher performance, a tow capacity of 6,200 lbs and lower fuel-efficiency.


The new Jeep interior has been created to compete with premier and luxury models like Mercedes-Benz and Land Rover.  This in no way will diminish the Jeep’s capability off the road, just a add a bit of comfort to any off-road experience.

Each year, Jeep takes a collection of concept vehicles to the Moab Easter Jeep Safari. This year, the event kicks off in a couple days, and Jeep will have six concepts with them.  These concepts are a blend of new, old and not-so-old.  These concepts will be outfitted with “Jeep Performance Parts” specially designed to take new Jeep in Tacoma to performance heights yet unseen.

Mike Manley, the Jeep brand president and CEO, said of their concept vehicle showcase, “We go to this extremely popular event in Moab each year to showcase the latest production vehicles from Jeep, as well as a host of new customization and personalization ideas.”


This year’s collection of Jeep concepts include the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk Concept, the Jeep Wrangler Mopar Recon, the Jeep Wrangler Stitch, the Mopar Jeep Wrangler Sand Trooper II, the Jeep Wrangler Flattop and the Jeep Wrangler Slim.

The Chrysler 200 is the best in its size and class for the money. A premier level sedan, the new Chrysler 200 in Tacoma offers sophistication and refinement with a sporty engine and excellent fuel-efficiency. The Limited Convertible version of the 2013 Chrysler 200 is unparalleled in its price range.

The 2013 Chrysler is powered by a a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine providing 173 horsepower, or the optional award-winning, 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 providing 283 horsepower. Both engines are paired to a six-cylinder automatic transmission with a manual shift mode. The Chrysler 200 Limited Convertible has a fuel rating of 29 MPG on the highway.

The Limited trim level adds automatic climate control, power seats, satellite radio, installed garage door opener, 18-inch wheels, heated leather seats, multimedia center, USB port, Bluetooth connectivity. There is only one trim level higher than the Limited and that is the S trim level which adds chrome to the exterior and upgraded audio system.

During last months International Auto Show, Dodge debuted more of their special edition sporty sedans.  These models included the 2013 Dodge Challenger SRT8 Core and the 2013 Dodge Charger STR8 Super Bee.  These are slightly less pricey than the regular STR8 models.

The Super Bee was first brought back onto the scene for last years model, and has continued into this year for the new Dodge Charger in Tacoma.  The Challenger was given a similar upgrade last year which was deemed the Yellow Jacket, and has received some tweaks this year to form the Challenger STR8 Core.


Fortunately, Now the STR8 Super Bee no longer has to be chosen in black and yellow; other color choices include Hemi Orange, Plum Crazy, Bright White, Pitch Black and TorRed.  Whether the car will even be available in the yellow and black “bee” colors has yet to be determined.
